Privacy Policy

CanineSense ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what the CanineSense app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. The short version

We built CanineSense to be privacy-first. We do not show ads, we do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not sell your data, and the audio you analyze is not retained on our servers after your result is generated.

2. Information we process

  • Audio you choose to analyze. When you record or upload a vocalization, the audio is sent to our secure backend to generate your analysis and is processed only for that purpose. It is not stored on our servers afterward and is not used to train AI models.
  • Context you enter. Details you add (such as the situation or body language) are used to produce a more accurate interpretation.
  • On-device content. Your dog profiles and analysis history are stored locally on your device. You can delete them at any time.
  • Anonymous app identity. The app uses anonymous authentication to secure requests to our backend. No name, email, or account login is required.
  • Limited diagnostics. We may process aggregated, non-identifying technical data (for example, error reports) to keep the service reliable.
  • Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your payment card details.

3. Service providers

We share only what is necessary for the app to function, with providers acting on our behalf:

  • A third-party AI provider — performs the AI analysis of the audio you submit.
  • Secure cloud infrastructure — backend hosting and request handling.
  • RevenueCat & Apple — subscription management and payment processing.

These providers process data under their own terms and only for the purposes above. We do not sell personal data or share it with data brokers.

4. Tracking

CanineSense does not track you. We do not use an advertising identifier and do not link your activity to third-party data for advertising. Because we do not track, the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

5. Data retention & your choices

Audio submitted for analysis is not retained after processing. Profiles and history live on your device and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings.

6. Children

CanineSense is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
